 Time to start talking about more than just the Big Sixty Thousand

On the 23rd of January DECC published the new monthly feed-in tariff commissioned installations. The grand total of cumulative FiT installations is now 646,281. The majority of these were PV technology (638, 322). This increasingly level of distributed generation, highlights the importance of developing community energy markets.

New Market Models for Community Energy Conference

CEM Conference,  Bristol - 25 June 2015

Swanbarton and Regen SW hosted the Community Energy Markets Conference in Bristol on June 25th.  The conference covered a range of topics around the role of community energy, and energy storage was high on the agenda, with a number of presentations stating the need for storage and the method of implementation.  The presentations may be downloaded here.  Anthony Price presented the case for energy storage in community energy.
